Let\u2019s learn how to say country in Arabic, which means \u062f\u0648\u0644\u0629 \/dawla\/ or \u0628\u0644\u062f \/balad\/. In Arabic \u0628\u0644\u062f\u064a \/baladi means “my country”.<\/p>\n

We know that countries are nouns, and it is because of that that they can be divided into feminine or masculine. Surprisingly, every country in the world is considered feminine. Notice that in Arabic, the letter ya\u2019 \u064a is added to indicate nationality. This is the opposite of the English language, which has some nationalities ending with \u201cish\u201d, others with \u201can\u201d, and others with \u201cch\u201d like French.<\/p>\n

Now, let\u2019s move on to cities and villages. The word city in Arabic means \u0645\u062f\u064a\u0646\u0629 pronounced \/madina\/, and the word village in Arabic means \u0642\u0631\u064a\u0629 pronounced \/qarya\/.
