So, \u0647\u064a\u0627 \u0628\u0646\u0627 \u0646\u0644\u0639\u0628 \u0643\u0631\u0629<\/strong> \u0627\u0644\u0642\u062f\u0645 \/ <\/strong>hayyaa binaa \u2018ilaa mal\u2019ab kurat alqadam<\/strong><\/em> (Let\u2019s go to the soccer field)!<\/strong><\/p>\n

So how does it work?<\/h2>\n

Typically, in a  \u0645\u0628\u0627\u0631\u0627\u0629 \u0643\u0631\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0642\u062f\u0645 \/ mubaaraat kurat alqadam (football match), each \u0627\u0644\u0641\u0631\u064a\u0642 \/<\/strong> alfareeq<\/strong><\/em> has 11 players and plays against another fareeq<\/em> with the same amount of players. Fans of each fareeq follow the \u0646\u062a\u064a\u062c\u0629 \/ <\/strong>nateejah<\/strong><\/em> (score)<\/strong> closely, hoping that their fareeq<\/em> manages to kick the \u0643\u0631\u0629 \/ <\/strong>kurah <\/strong><\/em>(ball)<\/strong> in the net to score a \u0647\u062f\u0641 \/ <\/strong>hadaf<\/strong><\/em> (goal)<\/strong> and give their fariiq <\/em>the \u0641\u0627\u0632 \/ faaz <\/em>(win)<\/strong>. Fans can get rather emotional and react to every \u062e\u0637\u0623 \/ khata\u2019 <\/em>(foul)<\/strong> that the \u062d\u0643\u0645 \/ hakam <\/em>(referee)<\/strong> calls, especially if it cost their favorite fareeq<\/em> a \u062e\u0633\u0627\u0631\u0629 \/ khasaarah<\/em> (loss)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

So, how do you pick a favorite fariiq<\/em>? Well, some people choose a team simply based on the \u0627\u0644\u0623\u0644\u0648\u0627\u0646 \/ al\u2019 alwaan<\/em> (colors) <\/strong>of the fareeq\u2019s<\/em>  \u0641\u0631\u064a\u0642 \/ malaabis riyaadhiyyah<\/em> (uniforms)<\/strong>, while others may choose their favorite \u0644\u0627\u0639\u0628 \/ laa\u2019ib<\/em> (player) <\/strong>(or \u0644\u0627\u0639\u0628\u0629 \/ laa\u2019ibah<\/em> <\/strong>if it happens to be a female soccer match that is being played).<\/p>\n

kurat alqadam<\/em> is only one of many sports popular in countries with native speakers of the Arabic language. You might have friends who enjoy \u0633\u0628\u0627\u062d\u0629 \/ sibaaha<\/em> (swimming)<\/strong>. Other sports can include:<\/p>\n

One of the most commonly used verbs when talking about sports is \u0644\u0639\u0628 \/ la\u2019iba<\/em> (play)<\/strong>, so it\u2019s important to know how to conjugate the verb in both the \u0645\u0627\u0636\u064a \/ maadhi <\/em> (the past tense)<\/strong> and the \u0645\u0636\u0627\u0631\u0639 \/ mudhaari\u2019<\/em> <\/strong> (both the present and future tenses) when you speak Arabic, especially when talking about sports and recreation.<\/p>\n

Please keep in mind that we will illustrate its use in the maadhi <\/em>in this article, <\/em>and we will show you its use in the mudhaari\u2019<\/em>  in a future article on music.<\/em><\/p>\n
