Adverbs of Time<\/span><\/h1>\n


<\/b><\/p>\n

As in English, adverbs modify or describe verbs, adjectives, other adverbs, or whole sentences.<\/span><\/p>\n


<\/b><\/p>\n

In Arabic, adverbs of time (\u0638\u064f\u0631\u0648\u0641 \u0627\u0644\u0632\u0651\u064e\u0645\u0627\u0646\/<\/span>DHuroof izzamaan<\/span>\/) tell when an action happened.<\/span><\/p>\n

For example the Arabic adverb \u0623\u064e\u0645\u0633 \/<\/span>\u2019ams<\/span>\/ means \u201cyesterday\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

By the way, adverbs can be placed just about anywhere in the sentence \u2013 at the beginning, in the middle, or at the end.<\/span><\/p>\n


<\/b><\/p>\n

Some adjectives can play the adverb role and can be masculine or feminine depending on the context:<\/span><\/p>\n
