Indeed, proverbs show the common philosophy shared among the people of all <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.kaleelah.com\/blog\/hospitality-in-arabic-speaking-countries-words-and-etiquette-to-know\/\">Arabic speaking countries<\/a>.\u00a0 However, though they may show the oneness among Arabs, they also show the uniqueness of the Arab people as well.<\/p>\n<p>Arab proverbs contain the wisdom that has been gathered for thousands of years. Yet, it is still relatable and thus, passed on today and will likely continue for future generations to come. Here is just a tiny sampling of our favorites that we\u2019d like to pass on to you today:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Arabic Proverbs about Life<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol type=\"1\">\n<li><strong>Get together like brothers, but work together like strangers.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em>This proverb means that, no matter who you work with you should always be professional. <\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Avoid things that will require an apology.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>It\u2019s better to be safe than sorry.<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The wisest is the one who can forgive.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>There\u2019s no greater virtue than being able to easily forgive.<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Wishing does not make a poor man rich.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>You have to get off the sofa and put in the hard work it takes to make money.<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Be wary around your enemy once and your friend a thousand times. A double crossing friend knows more about what harms you.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Quite the opposite of the oft quoted proverb of Sun Tzu: \u201cKeep your friends close;\u00a0keep your enemies closer.\u201d However, both ring true.<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Lack of intelligence is the greatest poverty.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <em>This pearl of wisdom goes hand-in-hand with another Arabic proverb: The love of money and &nbsp;&nbsp; the love of learning rarely meet.<\/p>\n<p><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Laugh and the world laughs with you; weep, and you weep alone.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>People only like being around other people when they are happy, so always try to be positive.<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>We have one mouth and two ears for a reason \u2013 to listen more than we speak.<\/strong> \u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Want to be a good conversationalist? Experts say the key is mentioned in the proverb above \u2013 listening more, speak less.<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Do not drink poison to quench a thirst.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Do not try to solve a problem with something more drastic than needed.<\/p>\n<ol type=\"1\">\n<li><strong>Garlic said to the onion, \u201cYou stink!\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em>This is the Arab version of \u201cthe pot calling the kettle black\u201d.<\/em><em><\/p>\n<p><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Arabic Proverbs about Love<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s life without a little love?
